West Sacramento K9 Association

On Wednesday, January 13, 2010, the West Sacramento PD K-9 unit and "Lawdogs" hosted a POST
K-9 Evaluation day. POST Evaluators Sgt. Charles Husted, Sacramento PD, prior K-9 handler, Acting Lt. Deanna Stevens, West Sacramento PD, prior K-9 handler, along with Dave Stallions current K-9 handler for West Sacramento PD and Cpl. Rick Kemp, K-9 handler and trainer for the Sacramento Sheriff's Department all worked to certify 31 K-9 teams from West Sacramento PD, Davis PD, Corning PD, Vacaville PD, Citrus Heights PD, Sacramento S/O and Sacramento PD. It was a busy day, handlers were certified for human a narcotic searches, obedience and apprehension/ protection work.
